Primary Mission
The CanSat's primary mission comprises of 3 main objectives:
air temperature measurement
Atmospheric pressure measurement
Telemetry transmission of the measured parameters to the ground station at least once per second.
The measured values should be further analyzed (e.g. calculating the altitude of the flight) and displayed in graphics to present to the judges.
Secondary Mission
The cansat secondary mission are defined by the teams themselves. The chosen mission should highlight the capabilities of the cansat and may be based on real satellite missions or a demonstration of the technology on the cansat.
For our secondary mission we will simulate an aerial rescue, will take place at 30m altitude (+/-10m, depending on weather conditions), in which the cansat (MiniMax) will perform an automatic air landing on the MegaMax (quadcopter drone). This precision landing will be achieved through the use of data collected from the GPS and the MegaMax computer vision system. As a backup, in case the automatic system fails, the MiniMax and MegaMax will receive commands from the ground station manually, so that the landing process is carried out safely.
